Terms of Service

These terms apply to Babylingual FLA’s public App Store release. The original voice-cloning Babylingual service has separate terms.

1. Who these terms apply to

These terms govern Babylingual FLA, provided by 베이비링구얼 (Babylingual), a sole proprietorship operating in the Republic of Korea ("we", "us"). The app is intended for adult parents and caregivers aged 18 or older who guide children during everyday activities. Review these terms and the Privacy Policy before using the app. If you do not agree, do not use it.

2. What the app provides

Babylingual FLA provides structured activities, example sentences, parent guidance and local observation records to support caregiver-led language learning. Caregivers speak to their children themselves. A bundled text-to-speech engine reads activity guidance on the device; the app does not record or clone a parent's or child's voice.

The app may support a parent's home language in a multilingual family or supplement activities recommended by a speech-language professional. Research-informed guidance does not mean this app has been clinically validated. It does not diagnose, assess or treat a language disorder, replace professional care, or guarantee a particular developmental outcome. Progress statistics and parent observations are not clinical assessments or developmental percentiles. Seek qualified professional advice about language-development concerns.

3. Available and future content

An active subscription gives access to the curriculum and parent guidance available in the app during the subscription period. New Steps and guidance will be added progressively, with the goal of a year of curriculum; the full year is not available at launch. Available content can differ by language. Review the current content description before subscribing. Planned features, including developmental-trend visualizations, are not included until released. We will describe material changes and respect rights arising from what was represented at purchase.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• Plans: Monthly access renews every month; annual access renews every year. An annual subscription is billed as one annual payment, not monthly instalments, and does not grant permanent ownership.
• Price: The purchase screen and Apple's confirmation sheet show the applicable price, currency and billing period. Prices can vary by country or region. Price changes follow Apple's notice and consent requirements and applicable law.
• Sample and trial: A sample lesson is available before purchase. Access beyond the sample requires an active subscription. There is no free subscription trial; payment is charged when Apple confirms the purchase.
• Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple may charge for renewal within the 24 hours before that period ends.
• Cancellation: Manage or cancel in iPhone Settings > your name > Subscriptions. Cancellation stops future renewal; access normally continues until the paid period ends. Deleting the app or its local data does not cancel a subscription.
• Restore: Use Restore Purchases with the Apple Account used for purchase. Restoring access does not restore local learning records.
• Payments and refunds: Apple handles billing and payment details. Refund requests can be submitted through Apple's refund process. Eligibility depends on Apple's policies and applicable consumer law. This does not restrict mandatory remedies you may have against us.

5. On-device operation and your records

FLA does not require an operator account or use an operator server to store your records or synthesize guidance. Local activities and guidance can be used offline once the app and required content are installed and subscription access has been verified. App installation and updates use Apple services; purchases, renewal verification and restoration may require Apple, RevenueCat and internet access. RevenueCat supports purchase verification and subscription management as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not promise indefinite offline entitlement verification.

You control local observations and progress. We have no server copy from which to recover them. Device backups may include local app data according to your device settings. Deleting the app, replacing a device or changing backup settings may result in loss of records; an Apple purchase restoration restores entitlement, not those records. 6. Safe and permitted use

Supervise activities, adapt them to your child's needs and stop an activity that causes distress or is unsafe. Keep your device secure. Use the app and its content for personal, non-commercial family use. Do not redistribute or sell the curriculum, bypass subscription controls, or use synthetic guidance to impersonate anyone. Rights permitted by law remain unaffected.

7. Ownership and licences

We or our licensors own the app and its authored content. You retain rights to observations you enter; entering them does not give us permission to collect, publish or train models on them. Third-party software and speech models remain subject to their respective licences and bundled notices. These service terms supplement the applicable App Store licence, including Apple's Standard EULA where it applies.

8. Updates, availability and responsibility

We may improve or correct content and software. We will give reasonable notice of material adverse changes or discontinuation where practicable and provide remedies required by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation on every device, error-free synthetic speech, or any particular language-learning result.

Nothing in these terms excludes consumer guarantees, statutory remedies, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights in Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States. We do not exclude liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion is unlawful.

9. Ending use and changes to these terms

You can stop using the app at any time; cancel your subscription separately through Apple to stop renewal. Serious misuse may end the permission to use our content, subject to applicable law. Updated terms will show a new effective date and material changes will be explained in the app or accompanying release notice. We will obtain agreement where required; an update will not retroactively remove accrued rights.

10. Applicable law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. This governing-law provision remains subject to mandatory consumer protections and court rights in your place of residence; these terms do not require you to waive them.
