This policy applies to Babylingual FLA’s public App Store release. The original voice-cloning Babylingual service has a separate privacy policy. External websites are outside this policy’s scope.

1. Our approach

Babylingual FLA keeps learning information on your device. We do not operate an account, learning-data or payment-verification server, and no operator account or sign-in is required. Apple and our subscription-management provider, RevenueCat, process purchase and related information to verify subscriptions and provide access. This limited billing processing is separate from your local learning records; the app is not a service with no data collection.

This policy distinguishes local learning records, billing information processed through Apple and RevenueCat, and information you voluntarily send when contacting support.

2. Information kept on your device

The app stores settings such as selected language and reminders, curriculum progress, activity records, locally calculated statistics and the observations you enter about your child's responses. The app also uses subscription-entitlement information from Apple and RevenueCat to determine access; that billing information is described separately in section 4.

We cannot access your local learning records. The app does not upload those learning records, including free-text observations that may contain personal or developmental information. It does not use them to train AI models or send them for remote analysis. Enter only information you want to keep on your device; identifying details are not necessary for observations.

3. Voice and speech

The app does not record, collect or upload a parent's or child's voice, create a voice profile, or clone anyone's voice. Activity guidance is synthesized locally from written content using bundled text-to-speech models. Guidance text and synthesis output are not sent to a speech server. The caregiver speaks the lesson sentences to the child directly.

4. Apple purchases and RevenueCat subscription management

Apple handles App Store charges, renewals and refunds under Apple's Privacy Policy. We use RevenueCat, Inc. to validate purchases, maintain subscription status and restore eligible access. We do not receive your payment card details.

During service connections, purchases, restoration and subscription checks, the app sends RevenueCat an SDK-generated pseudonymous customer identifier and purchase information, including product and transaction identifiers, purchase history, purchase and expiry dates, renewal or refund status, and store receipt or transaction-verification data. Related technical information can include device and operating-system type, app/SDK version and locale. Apple can also send subscription updates directly to RevenueCat.

We use RevenueCat's dashboard to view subscription records, resolve billing-access issues and review subscription statistics. We do not attach your name, email address, child's details, observations, learning progress or voice data to RevenueCat customer records. A pseudonymous identifier does not mean that no information is processed.

RevenueCat processes this information as our subscription service provider, including on servers in the United States. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy. We do not maintain a separate FLA payment server; this does not prevent Apple or RevenueCat from processing billing information.

Installation and updates use Apple services. Purchases, subscription checks and restoration may require Apple, RevenueCat and an internet connection. Apple may separately process platform diagnostics according to your device settings.

5. Analytics, advertising and reminders

We do not send learning-activity analytics, observations or crash reports to an analytics service, collect advertising identifiers, or send app events to Meta for advertising measurement. We do not use app data for cross-app or cross-website advertising tracking or sell your learning records. Subscription information and statistics processed through RevenueCat are described in section 4; local learning-dashboard statistics remain on your device. Any enabled reminders are scheduled on the device; they do not require an operator push-notification service.

You may encounter our advertising outside the app. Visiting a website, using a social platform or following an external link is subject to that service's privacy practices; it does not give FLA permission to upload your app records.

6. Storage, backups and deletion

Local records remain in the app's storage until removed through an available local deletion function or by deleting the app. Choosing iOS's Offload App option can retain data; use Delete App to remove its local container. We do not hold a server copy of these local learning records. The billing records described in section 4 are separate and are not erased by deleting local app data.

Depending on your settings, Apple or computer-based device backups and device transfers may contain app data. The app does not provide operator cloud storage or synchronisation, and we cannot access or delete your backups. Manage them using Apple's or your backup tool's controls. Deleting the app does not necessarily remove existing backup copies.

We cannot recover lost local observations or progress. Restoring a purchase restores eligible access, not those records. Removing local data does not cancel a subscription or automatically delete Apple or RevenueCat billing records. Manage cancellation and Apple purchase issues through Apple. For questions or requests about RevenueCat data used for FLA, contact us at the address below; we will handle applicable access, correction or deletion requests with our provider, subject to necessary verification and legal retention obligations. Billing information is retained as needed to operate and restore subscriptions, resolve disputes and meet applicable obligations. Provider retention practices are described in the linked policies; we do not promise immediate deletion of all transaction records.

7. Children and caregiver observations

The app is designed for adult caregivers. We do not collect personal information about children from the app, accept children's account registrations or receive recordings of children. Observations about a child are entered and reviewed locally by the caregiver. They are not transmitted for diagnosis, research, profiling or advertising.

8. If you contact us

If you choose to email support outside the app, we receive the sender address and information you include. This voluntary correspondence is separate from automatic billing processing described in section 4. We use it to answer and resolve your request, retaining it only as needed for that purpose and applicable legal obligations. Do not send child-identifying information, voice recordings, health details or unredacted observations; these are not needed for general support. You may ask us to delete correspondence, subject to legal retention obligations.

9. Changes and contact

Material changes to data handling will be disclosed before they take effect, with consent where required. This policy does not authorise future collection merely because a new feature is planned.
